Daniel Pellicer is a biotechnologist, master in biomedicine and PhD candidate in physiology at the University of Valencia. The main topic of his studies is to create new therapies for rare respiratory diseases. He did his PhD internship in Oxfordshire at the Medical Research Council where he could develop a cellular model for Primary ciliary dyskinesia, the disease he focus his PhD on.
He has been complementing his studies with scientific communication for the past 4 years. However, it wasn’t until last year when he started to do it professionally, giving speeches in several universities and associations and also participating in FameLab 2020, an incredible experience that consolidated his career as a scientific communicator. Apart from that, he normally uses social networks such as Twitter (@Dani_Pellicer) and YouTube (Divudan) in order to communicate about biotechnology and rare diseases.
